Meet Jasmine Scott, LCPC
Compassionate EMDR Certified Therapist for Women in Maryland
Specializing in Trauma & Sexual Health
Accessible & Private Care For Women In Maryland
One of the greatest advantages of working with me is that I have walked the path of sexual trauma and vaginismus myself. I know what it’s like to believe I’m broken, and I understand the crushing weight of guilt and shame that can overwhelm you when you’ve been diagnosed with a condition that most people, including health care professionals, have never heard of it and can’t even pronounce.
I've left mental health therapists, doctor's offices, and physical therapy sessions feeling defeated and dismissed, and I wondered if I would ever be able to experience a medical exam or intimacy without feeling pain.
Working with me means you're met with genuine empathy from someone who's been exactly where you are. I’m ready to guide you toward freedom and joy without judgment.
Ready for Healing is a completely online practice, meaning I can provide compassionate, expert care to women anywhere in Maryland.
While I'm located near communities like Baltimore, Pikesville, Owings Mills, Towson, Reisterstown, and Milford Mill, my virtual office allows me to connect with clients across the entire state.
Driven By Passion
My journey to landing on this specialty stems from my days as a counseling intern at an elementary/middle school in West Baltimore. I thought I would mostly be speaking to kids about how to be “less disruptive” in the classroom, and was genuinely shocked by the amount of girls and boys I spoke to that had a history of sexual abuse and other extreme traumas.
I knew I wanted to help people with sexual abuse histories, and after years of completing different trainings and therapies myself, I found a powerful treatment called EMDR Therapy.
EMDR was designed to help people with traumatic backgrounds, and I saw myself it’s ability to help individuals process and move beyond deeply distressing experiences.
A history of sexual abuse can show up in adulthood in many different ways including but not limited to experiencing pain during sex, fear of sex, and trouble developing emotional connections with others.
This isn’t talked about enough, and my practice exist to break the silence and stigma. Sexual abuse survivors have an incredible strength and capacity for growth, even in the face of profound challenges.
